Marketing & Communications at SAP
Marketing enterprise technology to the world's most demanding business buyers.
Marketing enterprise technology to the world's most demanding business buyers.
Marketing & Communications at SAP sits between the product and the market. Here's who you'll work with most closely:
Demand generation and field marketing exist to fill the pipeline that Sales converts. You work with Sales on campaign priorities, market segmentation, and the messaging that gets buyers into conversations. When pipeline targets shift, marketing plans shift with them.
Product marketing requires knowing what's being built well enough to explain why it matters. You work with product teams on positioning, competitive differentiation, and launch plans that translate technical capability into business outcomes customers actually care about.
Campaigns, events, brand assets, and digital experiences all require Marketing and Design to work in close alignment. The briefs you write and the creative output Design produces have to be built on the same understanding of the audience, or neither lands as well as it should.
Almost entirely B2B. SAP's buyers are business decision-makers: CIOs, CFOs, supply chain leaders, and HR directors at large organizations. Consumer marketing techniques have limited application here. The skills that matter most are understanding enterprise buying behavior, translating product capability into business value, and managing long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
