“I started my career as an organizational psychologist in Colombia's pharmaceutical industry, passionate about understanding what makes people tick. But I knew I wanted more – to expand my horizons and fill knowledge gaps in business, marketing, and finance.
That led me to make one of the biggest decisions of my life: leaving everything familiar behind and moving to Vancouver in 2018. The transition was like stepping into a completely different world, but I embraced it because growth happens outside your comfort zone.
I spent the next few years earning my MBA while working in business operations. It was completely outside my wheelhouse, but my immigration process required it. It wasn't my passion, but it taught me resilience and showed me how different parts of a business connect. "

“By 2020, when I could finally pursue the career I really wanted, I started applying everywhere for HR roles. When an SAP manager reached out about a Talent Intelligence Consultant role. My first thought? ‘This has to be a scam.’ But that decision changed everything.
The role was perfect, combining my psychology background with business strategy and research. I got to dive deep into market analysis, understand competitive landscapes, and build strategies that impacted both hiring decisions and business outcomes. I was determining talent availability in specific markets and sometimes delivering tough news to business leaders when their goals weren't realistic.
What I loved most was that nothing was written in stone, every project required creative thinking and building strategies from scratch.”

Beyond my day job, I serve as an Inclusion Champion for the entire region. This work is deeply personal. I was born without my left arm, and while I don't consider myself disabled in terms of capability, I understand barriers that exist for people who are different.
My parents encouraged me to challenge myself through sports – I play tennis, volleyball, snowboard, water ski. But in Colombia, I often failed employment medical exams simply because of my physical difference, despite being fully capable.
